not a strong open. a sports-anchor format covering March Madness, if you're not following the tournament or these anchors' bits, the jokes land nowhere. heavy man-coded energy, like a writers room full of guys who thought the references would carry themselves. the issue isn't that it avoided politics, it's that the satire wasn't exaggerated enough. if you're going to roast sports anchors, push the characters further. too insider for casual viewers, not sharp enough for fans. missed.

fantastic, one of the better monologues across recent episodes. the Five-Timers Club format is overdone, but this one felt genuinely endearing instead of self-congratulatory. loved the Tina Fey callout (timely, she just hosted SNL UK). the Jack White integration was seamless, and closing on 'stick around, we'll be White Black' was legit sharp wordplay. strong monologue overall.
